Advanced dancers learn: to dance with sharper, more compact, and more personalised style; to take-on tougher routines involving faster moves, often with both partners turning at once; to increase their use of multiple spins; introduce more complex 'shines' (foot-work variations); and respond to more subtle textures, and rhythms, in the music.

I’ve been dancing for more than 2 years; am never on the wrong foot, or feel the music is too fast. I can do an unassisted double-spin at normal speed (men & women); have added considerable stye to my dancing; and can lead a bit (if you’re a follower), or follow a bit (if you’re a leader).
