Sami (Colombia via London) is a former UK champion
(Sami & Pilar), now with his new partner Roxy. His
choreography is noted for insanely fast Colombian
footwork & spectacular lifts.
George ‘Dr Salsa’ Donoghue
– DJ
to be confirmed
George - Salsa Dura, Scotland via Leeds – was a
former Scottish champion & now a leading light at
the Scottish congress. He was senior DJ for many
years at Pontins weekenders & is now an event
fixture on ‘Calle Ocho’ nights at the Faversham,
Leeds.

Jimmy SA & Latin Connection

Jimmy (Egypt via Newcastle) is best known for
organising the Teesside all-dayers. He’s taught
Salsa for many years at Newcastle University & his
largely student troupe always produce a polished and
often humorous show.

Yersin Rivas

confirmed
Yersin - Cuba, via Brighton – is one of brightest
buttons on the Cuban scene right now. A very
personable young man, with excellent English, Yersin
is a high-energy package & a delight to have around.

Miriam & Dante (Argentina via Newcastle) are about
to leave the area, possibly the country! This may be
your last chance to see this outstanding couple at
the Engine Shed.

Mauricio Reyes

Mauricio’s ‘Latin Motion’, Birmingham, is one the
UK’s busiest Salsa networks. He’s been the nation’s
favourite Latin DJ for many years, and has won many
awards. He is also an excellent teacher:
enthusiastic & clear.

Rohan Brown

It’s hard to think of anyone on the UK circuit who
knows more than Rohan about what makes Salsa tick.
He was the life & soul of the party, for many years,
on the original UK weekenders: Club Cubana at
Pontins. He is the complete showman, and a superb
teacher of anything you care to name. More recently,
Rohan has been involved in the Blackpool Tower
Inferno events; his Salsa Holidays; and his
e-commerce site Salsa Fever, Birmingham.
Ilanga Gal Dem

Ashleigh Lewis (Leeds) recently brought her ‘Dolly
Mixtures’ street-dance troupe to the Shed, to much
acclaim. She now returns with her Afro-Dancehall
troupe.

Paola & Lazaro (Cuba via London) come highly
recommended. Miguel & Mayana think they’re one of
the best couples in the UK right now! Lazaro is an
honours graduate of the Cuban National School of Art
and Dance.

full of snappy breaks.
