The 'Special Events' button on the left contains the most comprehensive listing currently available for Salsa events, weekenders, & holidays in the North of England. Weekly; Monthly; & Annual Activities
Weekly Activities: York's original, and still only genuine, Salsa Club runs every Tuesday, 7.30-11.30pm, in the Function Room at Holgate Club, New Lane, Acomb. Tony & Mary, and Alfredo & Christine, teach three levels simultaneously 8.15-9pm & 9.45-10.30pm with music, dancing, & buffet at all other times. The fully inclusive cost is £6 per person. Cuban and Cross-Body styles are both taught, and to the normal, 'On-1', beat count. Click the 'about Salsa York' button at the top of this page for further information.
Monthly Activities: The Region's best, and only 100% dedicated dance venue, is The Engine Shed, Wetherby. We run Salsa socials here every 2nd & 4th Friday. Classes with guest teachers, from around the Region, from 8-10pm followed by dancing to 2am. There are regular dance shows and occasional live music. Annual activities: 'A Twelfth Night Salsa Extravaganza' is the only true congress in the Northeast; attracts 400 dancers from across the Region; & happens on the 1st weekend of Jan., at St. John's University, York, and is now in it's 7th year. The event opens on Friday evening with a choice of workshops followed by a party with live music. Saturday daytime has masses of dance workshops, at all levels, and in all styles, taught by a hoard of the Region's best teachers. Thanks for your visit.......Make it a 'Refreshing' one This site changes daily. Make sure you are looking at the most recent pages. Your computer stores web-pages, to make access faster if you re-visit them... but the pages stored may have changed, and need 'refreshing'! You can 'set' your 'Explorer' to 'refresh' automatically. automatic refreshing instructions In your Explorer, above, you can click View and then Refresh, or simply click the icon, above, which looks like a page with two green arrows on it.
Better practice is to have Explorer do this for you
automatically: Click
Tools, above; click Internet Options at the
bottom of the drop-down menu; make sure you are looking
at the General tab; in the middle of the card,
under 'Temporary Internet files', click Settings;
under 'check for newer versions of stored pages', click
the button in front of 'Every visit to the page'.
Click 'OK'... Bingo!.....now you will always be 'Refreshed'!
